About
Animate a photograph with a movement that feels at home in the image. Upload your photo and tell the HowWorks Agent what should move: water rippling, a curtain lifting, a person turning or a slow camera move through a landscape. Say which features should remain recognizable and which parts should stay still. Use one clear movement as the starting point, then watch the whole clip alongside the original photo. For illustrations and paintings, the Image to Video entry offers the same starting-image workflow.
Questions
What kind of photograph should I use?
Choose a clear photograph you have permission to use, with a readable subject and room for the requested motion. Prepare the composition for the screen shape you want.
What motion should I ask for first?
Start with a small, specific change: a breeze in fabric, ripples on water, or a slow camera move. Say which part moves and which parts should remain still.
Can I animate a portrait?
You can use a photograph with a person as the start frame. Respect the person's consent and check the face, expression and body movement throughout the result before sharing it.
Is the animated result a recording of what happened?
No. The motion is generated from your request. A still photo does not establish what happened immediately before or after it, so do not present invented motion as a documentary record.
Can I use an illustration instead?
Use Image to Video for illustrations, paintings or other artwork. This page focuses on photographs so you can compare the original photo with the motion added to it.
