About
Both current models offer output through 1080p, but they serve different request shapes. Seedance 2.5 supports 4–30 seconds, up to 30 reference images and an audio switch on Standard. MiniMax H3 Max supports 5–15 seconds, up to nine reference images and included audio, with Standard and Turbo tiers. Turbo supports text, start-image and first/last-frame requests; reference-to-video requires Standard. For a longer reference-led scene, duration and input capacity are useful first filters. For a short clip, compare the requested action and sound at shared settings rather than assuming a tier name predicts the result.
Questions
What is the main duration difference?
Seedance 2.5 supports 4–30 seconds, while MiniMax H3 Max supports 5–15 seconds. Plan a longer action on a model that accepts its duration rather than trying to carry unsupported settings across.
Can I use references with H3 Max Turbo?
No. MiniMax H3 Max reference-to-video uses Standard. Turbo supports text-to-video, image-to-video and first/last-frame. Seedance 2.5 uses one Standard tier and supports reference-led requests.
Do they support the same output sizes?
Both currently offer 480p, 720p and 1080p. This shared output range does not establish equal visual quality or a measured ranking for a particular scene.
How do sound and reference capacity differ?
Seedance 2.5 offers an audio switch and supports up to 30 image references. MiniMax H3 Max includes audio and supports up to nine references. Keep input roles clear whichever model you choose.
How can I compare a short clip on both?
Choose 5–15 seconds and a shared resolution and frame. Record the actual tier and audio settings. Review subject detail, motion, timing and sound against the same scene brief rather than judging from configuration names.
