How should I prevent duplicate animation loops and input listeners when restarting a small HTML canvas brick-breaker game? Give a minimal lifecycle pattern, list the game state that must reset, and provide four checks that expose restart bugs. Do not produce a complete game or claim the pattern has been run.

Four checks that expose restart bugs: Rapid restarts: restart 10 times quickly. The ball speed should stay the same. If it doubles, two loops are running. Keeping a counter of active loops (it should always be 1) makes this easy to see. One key press: press an arrow key once after several restarts. The paddle should move the same distance as on the first run. If it moves further, listeners are stacking up. Key held during restart: hold a key while restarting, then release it. The paddle should not keep drifting because of a stale held key. Restart in odd states: restart after game over, during a serve delay and after switching back from a hidden tab. You should see a full brick count, a score of 0, no ball jump on the first frame and no timer from the old run firing.

How should a small React team choose between BlockNote and Tiptap for a Notion-style first version with paragraphs, headings, lists and reliable save-and-reload? Give a conditional initial choice, separate editor functionality from storage and permissions we must implement, and identify what must be verified before adding collaboration or comments.

Recommended starting choice: Pick BlockNote if you want a Notion-like editing experience soon and can accept its block model and default UI. Pick Tiptap if you already have a design system, need full control of the schema and UI, or expect unusual document structures. Either way, build a prototype of paragraphs, headings and lists before committing. I'm not claiming either one behaves perfectly here.

For an online-first issue tracker with occasional disconnects and concurrent edits, when should a small team use server-first optimistic updates rather than local-first sync? Explain retry idempotency, conflict handling, reload recovery and server-side authorization. Identify which scaling problems in Linear's August 2026 delta-sync article do not, by themselves, justify copying its architecture.

Server-side authorization: check each change against the user's current membership on the server, including changes that are being resent. Never trust what the client claims. If the server rejects a change, roll back its optimistic display and explain why to the user.

About

Use Claude Opus 5.5 for writing where clarity and nuance both matter. Bring the argument, intended reader and a sample of the voice you want. Ask the Agent to identify the central claim, untangle the structure and flag jargon before rewriting. Keep qualifications close to the claims they limit. Review whether the revision preserves uncertainty, handles objections fairly and still sounds like the author. This page selects Opus 5.5 for the Agent conversation; sources and tool-created outputs should be checked as part of the task.

Questions

How do I simplify an argument without changing it?

Ask the Agent to restate the central claim and list qualifications before editing. Compare that list with the revision, especially words such as may, usually, only and unless, which change the strength of a claim.

Can Opus 5.5 follow a writing style?

Provide a sample you have permission to use and describe the traits that matter: rhythm, detail, vocabulary or examples. Treat the result as a draft and revise passages that lose the intended voice.

What is a useful way to review a long essay?

Separate argument, structure and wording. First check whether evidence supports the conclusion, then whether the sequence is clear, and finally whether individual sentences work.

Is this a different media generator?

This page selects an Agent conversation model for writing and reasoning. The catalog includes image and PDF inputs for context. Creating an image, video or audio result uses a separate available tool and its settings.
