Questions
How does this differ from the image function pages?
This page keeps GPT Image 2.5 selected while you choose how to begin. Text to Image is the focused starting point for a new picture from words; the Image Editor starts with an existing image and a change brief.
Should I start with a description or an image?
Start with a description when you want to invent the picture. Add an image when it already contains the subject, composition or visual reference you want to work from. Describe both the requested change and the details that should remain recognizable.
Which quality settings can I choose?
Choose low, medium, high or Auto. High is the default, and Auto uses high too. Review the result for the details that matter to your image.
What image shapes can I request?
Choose square 1:1, landscape 4:3 or 16:9, portrait 3:4 or 9:16, or Auto. The default is 4:3. Select Auto to have the shape chosen automatically, for a new image or an edit.
What are the output and reference limits?
Start with one image, or request up to four in a request. For edits, you can add up to nine reference images.
Will text and subject details match exactly?
Include the exact words and the subject details that matter in the brief, then inspect the result. Check spelling, spacing, faces, materials and product features before using the image. For exact typography, you can leave space in the artwork and finish the type in your layout workflow.
