Look: Gangly and weathered with spiky ginger hair, a long prominent nose, a bristling ginger mustache and a toothy grin, a khaki multi-pocket safari jacket, striped collared shirt, olive knickerbockers, cream socks and sturdy brown boots.
Personality: Enthusiastic, scholarly and cheerfully oblivious to danger; narrates his own expeditions.
Voice: Booming and clipped, with a theatrical British-explorer cadence and a lot of 'splendid'.
